Spa website design
La Sanctuary is a newly opened spa that loves integrated therapies. Their approach is to combine them to improve mind, body and soul.
Without an online presence, La Sanctuary wanted a WordPress website design that would promote the spa and allow them to take online bookings. Being a new business, they also wanted a brand colour palette and a unique logo design.
Project Overview:
To build a booking based website that was optimised for local search traffic. Construct a brand colour palete and design a new logo.
Services Provided:
- WordPress web design and development
- SEO
- Branding
- Logo design
- Website hosting

Custom WordPress web design
The design incorporated a number of factors to achieve the holistic effect that La Sanctuary wanted from their WordPress website.
Firstly, to allow prospective clients to quickly and easily make a booking for their chosen spa treatments. As a result, we not only had a booking option in the top level navigation menu, but also a “start your journey” button in the homepage header and a dedicated section in the footer.
Secondly, to offer more detail on each of their therapies. Therefore, prospective clients could find out, straight from the homepage, what La Sanctuary’s approach to each healing treatment was.
Finally, to convey health, well-being and relaxation throughout the website. This goal was therefore achieved through the use of large therapeutic images and a clean, rounded sans-serif font.
Building the site with a unique and custom WordPress web design allowed us to achieve the effect that La Sanctuary wanted.

UI / UX
A clean user interface (UI) in La Sanctuary’s new brand colour palette set the tone.
In addition, the interface was complimented by an easy to navigate user experience (UX). Making a booking was therefore easy from any area of the website. The responsive top level menu, in-page or the dedicated “start your journey” section in the footer.
Finding information about the range of treatments and therapies was also a goal of the spa. Dedicated pages were set up where customers could find details and then book their chosen therapy. These pages were also optimised for search traffic to bring in extra visitors from Google.

Incorporating the booking system
The ability to take bookings and make appointments online was the key objective for La Sanctuary’s WordPress website design. We therefore incorporated a booking calendar with time slots for each treatment session.
Building the booking calendar on the WordPress content management system meant that the spa could therefore manage employee hours. What’s more, La Sanctuary could update their opening hours or make adjustments to employee availability to alter the open time slots in the back-end themselves.

SEO
Search Engine Optimisation was an additional factor that the spa wanted to aid their growth in the local area.
We were able to help by optimising the website for their local search terms, as well as coding it for speed and fast crawl efficiency. Google likes quick loading pages, as do customers. What’s more, we could build the website with the correct meta-data and descriptions to boost La Sanctuary up the search rankings.
Logo design
Being a new business, La Sanctuary also wanted a professionally designed logo. The spa’s ethos of relaxation for the mind, body and spirit was therefore a key element, as was the pink from the brand’s new colour palette.

WordPress CMS
Coding the website on WordPress meant that simple tasks like updating hours on the booking calendar or adding text to pages could be made by the spa. The WordPress content management system is easy to use and therefore affords them much more control over their online presence.
