Interior design website
Luminous Interior Design enhances properties in the Greater London area to achieve more aesthetically pleasing living and working spaces.
The Luminous team had a WordPress website that hadn’t received a makeover in years. The company wanted to bring their online offering up-to-date to match their creative and bright interior designs.
Luminous required a WordPress website that would promote their beautiful interior designs and showcase their best work. The business also wanted to update their current logo to compliment the new website design.
Project Overview:
To build a beautiful portfolio website to showcase the Luminous team’s services and interior designs. Construct a fresh brand colour palette and design a new logo.

Bespoke WordPress website design
The website design incorporated several factors to achieve the holistic effect that Luminous wanted.
First of all we used big, page-wide images to invite the website visitor inside the interiors that Luminous have created. The prospective client can therefore get a better sense of the company’s designs and start to feel at home with Luminous’ style.
Secondly, was the use of space throughout the website. We gave extra room and white space on the pages to give everything a chance to breathe. This tactic was to create a sense of relaxation for the website visitor.
Thirdly, we pulled the brand in to line with a modern, rounded sans-serif font along with fresh and clean brand colours.
Building the website with a unique and custom WordPress web design allowed us to achieve the effect that Luminous wanted.

UI/UX
A clean user interface (UI) in Luminous Interior Designs’ new colours set the tone. We used a colour palette that included white for cleanliness. Green for a real fresh and organic feel. A sky blue complimented these two colours to consequently open up the website and give it some brightness.
We wanted the user interface to be supplemented by an equally pleasing user experience (UX).
The website needed to be easy to navigate. Therefore, we incorporated a clean menu system in the header.
A case studies section complimented the top-level menu. A key goal of Luminous Interior Design was to present some of their best projects and make them easy for prospective clients to view. We therefore showcased them high up the homepage. Clicking on the images led to more details of the project.
What’s more, to further reinforce the brand, we incorporated a mid-page homepage testimonial with the same striking green background as the case studies. This section linked to a page with quotes from other happy customers.

SEO
We build Search Engine Optimisation in to all of our WordPress website designs and this was no different.
We were able to help by optimising the website for Luminous’ local search terms, as well as coding it for speed and fast crawl efficiency. Search Engines like quick loading pages, as do customers. What’s more, we built the website with the correct meta-data and descriptions to boost the brand up the search rankings.
The new logo for Luminous Interior Design
Along with building a fresh website for the company, Luminous Interior Design also wanted a clean, new logo design.
To compliment the website look, we built in the green and white as the key colours. To convey the interior design aspect of the business, we housed the brand name inside a roof and adjoining wall.

A great website to not only work on, but also to build, which had really positive outcomes for Luminous Interior Design.
Project results:
Professional, clean and modern brochure website with clear calls to action built on the WordPress CMS.
SEO increased Google organic search visitors.
Increase in the number of prospective clients contacting the company for quotes.
